Eliot began his soccer journey in the academies of Leeds United and Manchester United before making his professional debut for Bradford City at 16 years old, scoring the winning penalty. He subsequently recorded four appearances in the English Football League's third division.

Eliot transitioned to the U.S. collegiate system, competing at Hofstra University. During his time there, the team secured two Conference Championships. His personal achievements include being named 2x All-American and 2x Conference Player of the Year, contributing 25 goals and 21 assists to the program. This experience provided direct, first-hand knowledge of the NCAA, and a holistic view of the landscape of soccer in the US.

Following college, Eliot was selected in the MLS SuperDraft by the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he recorded two first-team appearances (including matches against Wrexham and Tijuana). Eliot presently plays professionally for FC Tulsa in the USL Championship.

Navigating his own career proved challenging due to the absence of a clear roadmap or professional representation. This experience sparked Eliot Goldthorp's desire to help talented players achieve their specific goals by providing them with a comprehensive understanding of all their options.

For the past two years, he has worked as a player consultant with OCSM, and now serves as the Director of Player Pathways leading his own department. In this capacity, he has successfully placed over 50 clients into the college pyramid, professional ranks in the U.S., and European academies.
